I Was in a Car Accident, and My Vehicle Needs Repairs. Who Pays for Them?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

When you’re in an accident and your vehicle needs repairs you have a couple of different options and it’s based on the insurance available.
Ideally, you have the person who caused the accident, the other driver’s insurance, pay for your repairs but if  there’s a dispute about who caused the crash it may take some time to get the other person’s insurance to pay for that.
In the meantime, you could use your own insurance if you have something called collision coverage, and your own insurance will repair your vehicle. That’s why it’s essential that you have that coverage in the event that there is a dispute if you’re in an accident, about who’s at fault.
