How is the Amount of an Injury Settlement Determined?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An injury settlement is determined by a number of factors.
The most important is your injuries the nature and extent of those injuries. We have to look at how those injuries have affected you.
It’s also determined by how much insurance is available.
The settlement is also determined by things like your medical bills and your lost wages.
Another factor is whether you’re going to have future medical bills and future lost wages
We also look at factors like liability: who’s at fault and whether there’s evidence that maybe you were at fault.
Ultimately at the end of the day a jury is going to decide your case if it doesn’t settle, so we factor in what would a jury do in your particular case.
These are all things we think about when we come up with what is a reasonable settlement value for a case.
