What happens if an insurance company just flat out refuses to pay on your car accident claim?
In this video, we explain what happens if the insurance company refuses to pay.
So let’s say you’re in a car accident. It’s pretty straightforward. Maybe you have been rear-ended at a traffic light.
You go to the hospital, and you lose some time from work.
You submit those bills and the time you lost from work to the insurance company. But they come up with excuse after excuse.
First they need your statement, which I generally don’t recommend that you do.
They want to see all your medical records and then more delays. They come up with some excuse and then flat-out deny your claim. What do you do next?
Well, your best option might be to file a lawsuit.
The reason is the insurance companies might be delaying or denying a claim with the hope that enough time will go by and you will drop the whole thing.
Sometimes you have to file a lawsuit, or maybe you have to file in small claims court.
Of course, every case is different, so be sure to speak to an attorney for your specific case.
